Gut-brain axis is one of the most debated topics today. Research surrounding this connection has experienced significant growth recently in the areas of incidence, assessment and recovery. However, there is still a great debate regarding the most effective protocols.  The importance of utilizing clinically relevant testing and nutritional supplements to quickly identify the cause of the patient’s condition and why quality nutritional supplements are important will be presented, including obstacles doctors face when patients refuse to pay out of pocket for these vital tools. Strategies to overcome these hurdles and help patients in need will be explained.
