Cardiometabolic Health in Functional Medicine

Event Details

Proven Protocols for Enhanced Clinical Outcomes

Complex cardiometabolic health issues effect 47 million people in the US today. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the US—accounting for 2,300 deaths each day and about a third of all deaths annually. Obesity, poor diet, and a sedentary lifestyle set the stage for chronic cardiometabolic disease.

A functional medicine approach is particularly helpful for improving patient outcomes in obesity, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, chronic fatigue, neurodegeneration, bone health, and cardiac health.

Dr. Silverman will share an approach that looks beyond the scale and blood work to examine genetics, environmental and lifestyle factors. He will provide a systems-based framework that can lead to improvement, no matter the age of the patient or how advanced the disease.

This seminar will provide attendees with the tools they need to determine and address the fundamental underlying causes of cardiometabolic disease, including nutritional imbalances, hypertension and insulin resistance. Dr. Silverman will also provide detailed protocols for cardiometabolic health, liver detoxification, gut repair, rebalancing the microbiome, testing and test interpretation, recommendations for lifestyle changes, and supplements that work.
